Girls' golf team defeated by Trojans in dual match
The Tanager girls' golf team lost their dual match last Tuesday, April 18 versus West Central, at The Bluffs Golf course in Vermillion.

The temperature had cooled down to the 60s. A slight northerly wind became very strong and reduced the planned 18-hole competition to a one-round match.

The Lady Trojans won with a 180 score, while the Lady Tanagers finished with 192.

West Central individual scores: Cora Leisinger � 43; Kelli Lowry � 44; Laura Leisinger � 46; Jamey Hofer- 47; and Sara Puthoff � 52.

Capturing medalist honors was Tanager's Anna Isaacson with a 41.

Other Vermillion scores: Paige Prosser � 46; Chelsea Gauer � 51; Laura Hansen � 54; and Rachel Odens � 61.

The JV match was a nine-hole competition among the Tanagers, since the Trojans had only one player.

VHS JV scoring: Kelsey Osborne � 57; Shelby Covill � 63; Lindsey Robinet � 65; Ellen Brown � 67; Jessica Martensen � 70; Krista Kuiper � 73; Sara Bye � 75; Emily VanDenHul � 79; and Taylor Tigert � 80.
