Bennett, a freshman from Sioux Falls, carded a 78-79-157 as the Coyotes combined to shoot a 312-328- 640, four strokes behind fifth-place Bemidji State (312-324-636).
Sophomore Ryan Bak (Beresford) shot a 79-81-160 to tie for 19th place, while sophomore Bryan Cahill (Huron) recorded a 78-83-161 to finish tied for 22nd.

Also scoring for USD were sophomore Jared Degen (Parkston), who shot a 77-85-162, and freshman Matt Rantaapa (Lead) with an 84-85-169.
Host Minnesota State won the event by firing a 302-309-611 to finish four strokes ahead of Winona State. Troy Merritt of Winona State won the event by shooting a 69-76-145.
