On Thursday, April 6, the 2006 Mens' League met and elected officers for the upcoming season at The Bluffs. Co-presidents are Kurt Kuiper and Wade Hansen, who appointed Rusty Jensen as treasurer. With a minimum of team representatives present, ex-president "Chappy" suggested that the new officers appoint a committee to organize and clarify the suggestions later.

It was decided that the league would have up to 13 play dates for the regular season, depending on the number of teams participating. Stag nights will occur about once a month and include free food for league members only.
Activities near the end of the season will be decided later, but will include a final tournament involving every team in the league.
If you intend to have a team this year, please let the pro shop staff or league officers know soon. TEAM CAPTAINS � please get the team roster to Rusty or Eric ASAP.
League commences with a team scramble involving every team on May 11; tee times to be arranged with the staff. Regular competition will start on May 18 with 3 and 6 p.m. shotgun tee offs.
Scoring system will be the same as last year � match is worth 2 points, one per session; medal is worth 2 points, one per session; each hole won is worth 1 point (9 points per session); and 1 point added for total medal; 23 points available per week.
Senior golfers brave weather
Only 18 hearty seniors showed up for golf on a cold, cloudy Tuesday, April 25. The sun stayed hidden until the first teams came into the clubhouse, then the sun started peeking through the clouds.
In spite of the weather the six three-man teams were very competitive with scores of 39, 40, 41, 41, 41 and 42. Our winning team was Ross King, Ted VanBruggen, and Maurice Erickson. We congratulate our champs.
Seniors will play next week on Wednesday, May 3.
