Dean of Students Terisa Remelius presented the award to Twedt during a reception with friends and co-workers on April 3.
Twedt, who lives in Vermillion, has worked for USD since 1978. She worked for the School of Education for most of that time, before moving to the Student Services office in June 2004.

Twedt was nominated for the honor by Remelius, who is her supervisor.
"Pat exceeds work ex-pectations each and every day and she never fails to treat students with dignity and respect when working with them to resolve conflicts and navigate the university system," Remelius said.
"It's nice to work here because you have such wonderful people to work with," Twedt said. "We have some extraordinary people working throughout the university and that definitely makes my job a lot easier."
