USD women roll to a 9-0 decision over Bemidji State
The South Dakota women's tennis team (8-12) ended a four-match losing streak with a 9-0 decision over Bemidji State (1-10) in nonconference action on April 8 at the USD tennis courts.

South Dakota won all six singles matches and also swept the doubles competition.

Singles


1. Amanda Barton (Fr., Aberdeen, 9-11) of USD defeated Melissa Fogelson of BSU, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-8.

2. Ashley Waltman (Fr., Rapid City, 9-11) of USD over Kali Welu of BSU, 2-6, 6-1, 10-5.

3. Kelli Galbraith (Fr., Rapid City, 9-11) of USD over Kristen Lexcen of BSU, 6-3, 6-3.

4. Michelle Hogan (Jr., Rapid City, 14-6) of USD defeated Julie Kapsner of BSU, 4-6, 6-0, 10-8.

5. Rachel Kludt (Jr., Huron, 13-7) of USD defeated Jenna Jesperson of BSU, 6-2, 6-1.

6. Suzy Puetz (Fr. Sioux Falls, 11-9) of USD over Amy Erickson of BSU, 6-3, 6-0.

Doubles

1. Puetz/Waltman of USD (6-14) defeated Fogelson/Welu of BSU, 8-3.

2. Barton/Kludt of USD (10-10) over Lexcen/Kapsner of BSU, 8-0.

3. Hogan/Galbraith (13-7) of USD defeated Jesperson/Erickson of BSU, 8-0.

South Dakota will host Southwest Minnesota State (4-9) in nonconference tennis at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 9 at the USD tennis courts.
