The evening will begin with featured readings from local authors published in the 2006 magazine. Immediately after the authors' reading will be a poetry slam, a competition for poets. Prizes will be awarded to winning poets and slam poets should bring at least three poems if they plan to participate.
As always, the VLP reading and slam is free and open to the general public. Copies of the magazine will be available for sale throughout the evening.
