Weekly food, arts festival planned

The Vermillion Area Farmers' Market and the Vermillion Area Arts Council will be joining forces this summer to bring you the Midweek Food and Arts Festival.

This weekly event will take place Wednesday afternoons, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Washington Street Arts Center, located on the corner of Cedar and Washington Streets, directly north of the Vermillion Police Station.

This indoor/outdoor event will run every Wednesday, beginning May 3. The event will run through October. Get ready for great locally grown produce, crafts, food, and music in a laid-back neighborhood atmosphere.

Look for free workshops to be offered at the Washington Street Arts Center on "Growing for Farmers' Markets" and "Sustainable Agriculture" in May. Come tour the future site of the Community Gardens.
