The Meckling Livestock 4-H Club met Feb. 2 at the 4-H building. The roll call topic was your "favorite candy." Old business included discussion about registration forms, the PTA Carnival, and our adopted family. In new business, we discussed Relay for Life and the After Prom fund raiser. Thank yous we received were read.
We discussed our future community service projects and having a meeting at the Care Center with bingo playing. Demonstrations were given by Ashley Ouellette ��Sports First Aid Kit, Andrew Heine ��Swine Breeds, and Allison Heine ��How to Be a Prepared Babysitter.
Club sells 118 boxes of fruit
The Meckling Livestock 4-H club met March 23 at the 4-H building. The roll call topic was �Favorite Summer Activity.� In old business, we discussed forms that needed to be turned in. It was reported that our club sold 118 boxes of fruit ��way to go! We made a donation to the Food Pantry. In new business, we put together committees for our various service projects.
We discussed adopting a fairground flower bed and the upcoming spring project day on April 22. Swine exhibitors must be PQA certified and need to attend one of three sessions for this.
Livestock tagging and weigh-in dates were provided. A Junior Leaders meeting was held in Wakonda on April 10. A thank you letter was read. The next meeting was on April 28 at the Care Center.
