The Cedar County Performing Arts Society will present its first poetry reading and open mike at the library in Hartington, NE, on Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. The featured writer will be recent USD MA graduate Annie Christain.
The National Music Museum continues its Brown Bag lunch program, Friday, May 26 at noon with the Euclid Quartet performing Hugo Kauder's String Quartet No. 2 and Claude Debussy's String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10.
On Wednesday, May 31 from 7 to 9 p.m., Dr. Gayla Koerting, special collections librarian, I.D. Weeks Library, will conduct a letter and book preservation workshop. The event will take place on the third floor of the I.D. Weeks Library. The event is sponsored by the Clay County Historical Preservation Commission and is part of Preservation Week. It is free to all interested.
The Vermillion Area Farmer's Market and the Vermillion Area Arts Council present the Midweek Food & Arts Festival every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. through Oct. 25 at the Washington Street Arts Center.
