Schoenberner named USD’s May Employee of the Month

The University of South Dakota is pleased to announce that Linda Schoenberner, a secretary in the Division of Continuing Education at USD, was named the Career Service Employee of the Month for May.

Adam Hafner, a communications and network specialist at Information Technology Services at USD nominated Schoenberner for the award.

"I work closely with the Division of Continuing Education on a continual basis and no matter what the reason or purpose of my interaction with her it is always a joy. She always has a smile on her face and greets everyone friendly and politely. I would consider her an example of one of the many extraordinary employees that are employed here at USD," Hafner said.

Schoenberner takes pleasure in her work at USD for a variety of reasons, and said she appreciates the recognition she has received.

"I really enjoy my interaction with the distance instructors and challenging projects at work. I am truly honored to be awarded and it is nice to know that I make a difference," Schoenberner said.

Schoenberner has served USD in several capacities over the last five years and lives in Gayville, with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, James and Alex.
