The Siouxland India Cultural Association (SLICA) is proud to present an evening of South Indian music with Kalamamani Sikkil Mala Chandrasekhar on flute; Jayashankar Balan on violin; and Vinod Seetharaman on mridangam.

The concert will be held Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall in the Warren Lee Fine Arts Building on The University of South Dakota campus.

Admission is $10. Tickets are available at the Cherry Street Grille and Super 8 Motel, both in Vermillion; the Best Western City Centre in Sioux City, IA; Country Inn and Suites, Sioux Falls; and Dunes General Store in Dakota Dunes.

Sikkil Mala Chandrasekhar continues in the tradition of her famous gurus: the Sikkil Sisters Kunjumani and Neela. In playing style, Mala combines the strongest aspects of both Kunjumani's clear classic lines with Neela's flair and expressiveness.
