Tanager girls’ golf team places third at Harrisburg

Twelve 12 Class A schools were entered in the 2006 Harrisburg Girls' Golf Invitational at Spring Creek Golf Course on Tuesday, May 9.

West Cental won the meet with a 340 score; Dell Rapids (349) was second; and Vermillion placed third with 376.

Kelli Lowry (WC) was medalist with a 70 score. Tanagers with scores in the top 15 were: Anna Isaacson � sixth (83); and Chelsea Gauer � 13th (91). Other Vermillion participants were Kelsey Osborne � 95; Rachel Odens � 107; and Kristen Schwaisinger � 117.

In the JV division, using three individual scores, the Tanagers also were in third place (185); Canton was in second (182); as Dell Rapids won with 180.

Tanager scores and places were: Laura Hansen second (53); Sara Bye � 65; and Jessica Mortenson � 67.
