Vermillion facts sought for city’s 150th birthday

Vermillion will celebrate its 150th birthday in 2009.

The Vermillion Sesquicentennial History Committee is compiling a book about the history of Vermillion. The committee is searching for news articles, pictures and stories about the beginning of Vermillion in 1859. Anyone with stories about the early settlers and their families, pictures of the families or information that would be interesting for publication, please contact us at the Austin Whittemore House in Vermillion.

Many sesquicentennial activities are in the planning stage at this time. Please help make this one of the most memorable birthday parties in the history of Vermillion.
