War dead will be honored May 29
Vermillion will honor its war dead with special Memorial Day services on Monday, May 29 at 10 a.m. at the Clay County Veterans Memorial, located on the grounds of the Clay County Courthouse.

The public is invited to participate.

In case of rain, the service will be held in the third floor courtroom.


Guest speaker is Vermillion Mayor Dan Christopherson.

Music will be provided by Monica Iverson, who will sing The Star Spangled Banner. Her son, Derek Iverson, and Caleb Miller will sing God Bless the U.S.A.

Wreaths will be placed by local veterans' organizations, followed by a rifle salute by the VFW honor guard.
