Will wed

Kathy and Mark DeGroot of Ipswich, and Sandy and Danny Brown of Vermillion, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Jocelyn and Derrick.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of South Dakota State University in Brookings with a master's degree in communication studies. Josie will begin a doctoral program at Ohio University in Athens, OH, this fall.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of The University of South Dakota in Vermillion with a bachelor's degree in recreation. Derrick will receive his master's degree in athletic administration from USD in August.

Josie and Derrick will be married July 29 in Vermillion.

The newlyweds will honeymoon in Jamaica before moving to Athens, OH.
