World renowned Indian musician Sikkil "Mala" Chandrasekhar will perform at The University of South Dakota on May 20 at 7 p.m. in the Colton Recital Hall of the Warren Lee Fine Arts building.
The performance will be in conjunction with a larger program by Indian musicians.
Tickets for the concert are $10 and include refreshments which will be provided during the break.�Tickets are available at the Cherry Street Grille or the Super 8 Motel in Vermillion, and also at the Best Western City Centre in Sioux City and the Country Inn & Suites in Sioux Falls.�
At the age of six Mala began playing traditional Indian music on the flute. Since that time she has earned a number of awards and experienced international success. Among her many achievements is her distinction as having been the first Indian to attend the National Flute Convention at Atlanta, GA, in 1999.� ��
