Cooks urged to enter museum contest

Once again the W.H. Over Museum will hold its annual "Celebrate Pie-Plant II (Rhubarb) II Contest" on June 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Sletwold Hall.

The categories are Breads & Muffins; Cakes; Cobblers, Crisps & Crumbles; Jams, Jellies & Conserves; Pies; Sauces & Puddings; and Exotics.

Folks can enter food with a copy of the recipe for tasting and attendees (the tasters) will buy tasting coupons and vote for "Best of Category."

All recipes will be collected and published in a booklet available at the museum. The pie-plant is a part of the American heritage/culture that the museum celebrates.
