Vermillion simply dominated the first game as they won a rule-shortened five-inning game against the Stealers with Brianna Brinkman tossing a three hitter while registering 9 Ks, and her teammates taking advantage of 16 hits to end the contest.
Three members led the onslaught with three runs each: Kayla Munger, Jana Bye, and Erica Johnson. Jenny Bye chimed in with two runs on two for two hitting; and Molly Lecates and Lindsey Robinet each scored once.

In their second game, against the Untouchables, Jenny Bye pitched a seven-inning, five-hit, four-run, heart stopper, registering 10 Ks.
Leading the contest 5-2 in the first half of inning #7, she was able to stop the scoring at two runs when an attempt by the Untouchables to stretch a double was snuffed out by a 6-5 put out at third base to end the contest.
Scoring for the winning Stingers were: Jenny Bye � 1 for 3, 2 runs; Ashley Ouelette � 1 for 3, 1 run; Erica Johnson � 1 for 3, run; Kayla Munger � 1 for 3, with a run.
The team's early season record is 4-0.
