Isaacson places ninth at state golf tourney

Lead-Deadwood brought home the championship crown in the girls' State A Golf Tournament, held May 22-23 in Hot Springs.

Other top teams, in the order they placed, are Dell Rapids, West Central, Aberdeen Roncalli, Belle Fourche, Groton, Winner, Elk Point-Jefferson and Bon Homme.

Vermillion didn't send a team, but was instead represented by three individual golfers: Anna Isaacson, Chelsea Gauer and Paige Prosser.

Isaacson's score after 36 holes was 184, which earned her ninth place.

Gauer finished in 16th place with a score 188.

Prosser shot a 217.
