Meierkort named to All-State

Reid Meierkort, a sophomore from Vermillion, was named First team Class B All State.

Meierkort, who was named MVP of the Tanagers, hit .551 for the year while playing centerfield. He played in the 2006 All State A/B challenge on Saturday, June 3.

This is the second year Meierkort was named All-State for the Tanagers.
