Sen. John Thune has announced that The University of South Dakota has been awarded over $150,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services as part of the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program.
"This is good news for USD," said Thune. "These scholarships will help those students that need assistance achieve the dream of a college education. It is important that we continue to work at all levels to make these opportunities available."
USD is the recipient of two grants, one for $118,750 and another for $31,404.
