VAST competes at Yankton Invitational

The Vermillion Area Swim Team swam at the 43rd annual Yankton Charity Invitational on June 23-25. The team finished fifth overall.

VAST results were:

Bailey Dell (8 & U) – third 50 back, third 50 fly, fifth 50 breast, fifth 50 free.

Reilly Larsen (8 & U) – second 50 breast, second 50 free, third 100 breast, third 100 free, fourth 50 back, fourth 50 fly.

Andrew Dell (9-10) – 10th 50 fly, 12th 50 back, 14th 50 free.

Audry Miiller (9-10) – 10th 50 back, 11th 50 free, 13th 50 fly, 13th 100 free, 14th 50 breast.

Clayton Larsen (11-12) – second 50 back, fourth 100 back, fourth 100 breast, fifth 200 IM, sixth 50 free, seventh 50 breast, seventh 50 fly, eighth 100 free.

Elly Miiller (11-12) – eighth 200 free, 10th 50 free, 11th 50 back, 13th 200 IM, 15th 100 back, 17th 100 breast, 18th 50 fly, 19th 100 free.

Kaitlin Todd (11-12) – second 50 fly, sixth 50 back, seventh 50 breast, eighth 100 breast, ninth 200 IM, 11th 50 free, 12th 100 free.

Stacie Kjelden (13-14) – second 100 back, fourth 800 free, fifth 100 fly, fifth 400 free, sixth 200 IM, seventh 50 free, seventh 200 free, ninth 100 free.

Bailey Pons (13-14) – first 100 free, first 200 free, first 200 IM, first 400 free, first 400 IM, first 800 free, second 200 breast.

Tyler Husby (15-16) – seventh 50 free, eighth 100 breast, 14th 100 free.

Erin Rasmussen (15-16) – first 100 free, first 400 free, first 800 free, second 200 IM, third 100 fly, third 400 IM.

Sarah Thvedt (15-16) – third 100 back, fourth 50 free, fourth 200 free.

Sarah Rasmussen (17-18) – second 100 free, second 200 IM.

VAST relay results were:

400 medley (13 & Over, mixed) – third Sarah Rasmussen, Bailey Pons, Erin Rasmussen, Tyler Husby.

The team returns to the pool July 8-9 at the South Sioux City Invitational.
