Vermillion Teeners play Harrisburg, EP/J
The Vermillion Teener baseball team visited Harrisburg June 13, where they were downed by a 10-4 "drubbin'".

Nick Anglin was the losing pitcher with the Vermillion players getting five hits for the four runs.

JV Teener offense: Anglin � 3 for 4, 1 run, 1 rbi; Brian Hansen � 1 for 2, 1 rbi; Aaron Steele � 3 walks, 2 runs; Bennett Johnson scored a run after reaching base on an error.


On Thursday, the double header was played at the Elk Point Park against EP/J. This time the score demonstrated a dominating outcome. The home team couldn't mount any semblance of an offense as Vermillion's Bennett Johnson twirled a one-hit shut out.

The offensive stats for Vermillion were: Johnson � 2 runs, 1 rbi; Cody Merrigan � 2 walks, 2 runs; Ryan Fischbach � 1 for 2, 1 run, 2 RBI; Brian Hansen � 2 for 2, 2 runs, 1 rbi; Ryan Kost � 1 for 3, 1 run; Chase Allen � 2 for 2, 1 run, 2 RBI; Evan Hanson � 1 for 2, 1 run. Robert Osterberg and Jacob Billow each scored a run.

The final game of the week was the second game of the EP/J double header, and turned out to be a real scorcher. Line score was: Vermillion � 15 runs, 13 hits, 0 errors, 9 lob; EP/J � 8 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors, 8 lob, and another win for the Redbirds. Brian Hansen was the winning pitcher.
