In game one, Vermillion scored first but Canton plated two runs. The visitors tied the score at 2 � 2. Cole Andre started and went three innings, giving up three runs on five hits, one walk and registering three Ks. He was relieved by Bennett Johnson who gave up a walk and hit batsman while striking out one.

Game two was more of the same with Canton taking the lead 2 � 0 in the first. Vermillion tied it in the second and, then held on as Canton took a lead before the visitors scored 3 runs in the fifth inning to take the lead 5 � 3. Unfortunately, Canton responded with three runs to end the game 6 � 5. Nick Anglin took the loss.

The Vermillion Teeners had a 3 � 1 record going into a double header against Lennox on June 8.
