At the annual state Eastern-Star picnic in Pierre, Vera Emerson was honored by being appointed "Friends of a Feather," by the incoming Most Worthy Grand Matron Barbara Benton, of Oklahoma, for a three-year term.

On June 11, Worthy Matran Fran Moore held a friendship meeting where Vermillion and area Masons were introduced and honored. Potluck supper and table games concluded the meeting.

Recently, Marilyn Siecke was appointed a grand representative of British Columbia and Yukon, Canada in South Dakota for a two-year term. The Sieckes attended Grand Chapter in Vancouver in May.

Juno Stars attended a no-host luncheon held in Vermillion July 8 to meet Marion Case, worthy matron; Don Case, worthy patron; Associate Matron Lennea Cogan; Conductress Lorraine Hatfield and Secretary Ruth Ford of Oak Grove, MO, star friends of June Kruger who was a member of Oak Grove Chapter 407, for seven years.

June is Juno's Electa after returning to South Dakota 2005.

Forty-three members and friends attended the annual Mason Star potluck picnic Sunday, July 23 at Prentis Park.

Fran Moore and June Kruger will be pages at South Dakota Grand Chapter in Pierre on Oct. 12, 13 and 14.

Juno Chapter will have initiation at the Sept. 11 meeting.

Juno Stars and friends eat at area cafes on the third Thursday of each month. Stars and friends welcomed.
