Debra Wenzel, Clay County Youth Extension Educator, joined the club members at the beginning of the meeting. Introductions took place. Debra talked to club members about Judging Schools.
An Easter egg hunt occurred in the kitchen. Several of the eggs were hid so well that they were never found.
Ellen Hanson, club president, called the meeting to order. Madeline Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance. Sarah Rosacker led the 4-H pledge. Everyone introduced themselves and the roll call topic was "What did you get in your Easter egg/bag?"
Marley Hanson read the Secretary Report. Pam Hanson read the Treasurer's Report that Emily Holoch prepared for the meeting. One new bill was presented by Ashley Sorensen for film and film developing. Marley Hanson made a motion to pay the bill, Sarah Rosacker seconded the motion. The motion was voted on and passed.
Old Business: Thank yous were given to Carol Sorensen for helping to unload and sort 4-H fruit on March 17, to all club members who sold 4-H fruit in March, to Lois and Sarah Droegemeier for providing the dessert to the Saint Agnes Classic winner in April and to members who brought purse-size Purell's, pens, and dry eraser markers for the Teacher Bouquets.
Smile-maker cards for the Senior Citizens Center, Meals on Wheels people were collected.
New Business: Reminders were given to everyone to read the Clay County Guidelines. Everyone was encouraged to look for fellow club members information articles under the "Let's Meet" page. Ashley Sorensen was featured in the March newsletter.
Future Community Service projects in May were discussed. There was no May meeting.
Reilly Larson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Hannah Doohen seconded the motion. A vote was taken, the motion was carried and the meeting was adjourned.
Everyone wrote a personal note on the 2006 Phone-a-thon call sheets for the South Dakota 4-H Foundation. Club members also signed two Thank You cards which will be mailed to those who helped with the 4-H fruit in March.
Marley Hanson gave a demonstration "How to Weave Potholders." Marley Hanson provided refreshments for the evening.
