The game was never close as Vermillion romped around the bases at will, taking advantage of several walks and a couple of errors, along with seven hits, to dominate the visitors 14-4.
Cole Andre gave up two hits in the four-inning "mercy" shortened contest. However, the reserves took over and completed the seven innings (no score kept), fell behind 4-1 after four innings, then came charging back, scoring four runs in the final two innings, for the 5-4 victory. Jordan Robinson went the full six innings for the win.
