The first two games of the tourney for Post #1 were played at their home field.
The first was a complete domination of West Central as the Vermillion team scored early and often in a 10-2 win in five innings. Scott Morrison went the distance, pitching a five-hit, two-run excellent performance. He walked one and registered six Ks while the team backed him with only one error!

Game two pitted Post #1 against Chamberlain with the home team prevailing 3-1.

The win put Post #1 into the championship game against Yankton Post #12, which was played at Riverview Park on Saturday, July 1.
Yankton took an early one-run lead, then plated seven runs in the third inning which activated to tournament eight-run rule and finished the tournament with Vermillion's 2-1 for the weekend.
