Yards of the Month chosen for June, July

Vermillion Garden Club announces addresses for June Yard of the Month winners: 916 Broadway, 25 Franklin, 1414 Crestview and 515 Norbeck.

Yard picks for July are: 119 N. University, 500 Crawford Ct. and 26 Yale.

Four Garden Club members attended the state Garden Club convention at Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn in Rapid City June 9-10. Kim Anderson, occupational therapist, Rapid City Regional Hospital, presented the program, "Garden Safely with Ergonomic Tools." A look at "Garden Tools of the Past" with Edgar Simon, and a tour of Journey Museum Gardens with Darrol Birk, head gardener, were also highlights.

July 15, members enjoyed a garden walk at the Weeks farm with Patti Bancroft.

The summer Garden Club picnic will be in August at Prentis Park.
