The upcoming "Guiding Performance" workshop will teach you what good performance is, how to measure and reward it and then how to motivate your staff to new levels of achievement.
"Guiding Performance" will be presented in Vermillion at the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Aug. 22; in Yankton at RTEC on Wednesday, Aug. 23; and in Mitchell at Mitchell Tech's new Technology Center on Friday, Aug. 25. The half-day workshop will be offered twice at each location, allowing you to select the session that best fits your schedule.
You can choose to attend Session A from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or Session B which will run from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is only $49 per participant and is due at the time of registration.
The workshop will be presented by Tom Hausmann, the creator of S.M.A.R.T. Training – which stands for training that is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Bound. During the training, Hausmann will teach you how to gain the influence of veteran staff members, how to hire the right people for the job and how to recognize Generation X and Generation Y employees.
You'll learn how to motivate others to perform, how to address inappropriate behavior, when you need to delegate, the proper way to offer feedback and much more. You'll also discover the practical strategies that will help you succeed in your new leadership role.
