The Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book runs for five days, Monday through Friday. Some genres only offer selections every other week. The library is pleased to announce the replacement of four of our outdated computers. These new computers are located in spots # 4, # 7, and two of the adult area catalog terminals. The replacements are funded in part by the city of Vermillion, the South Dakota State Library and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Needed: Items for the display case located in the library's front entry. We are looking for patrons who are willing to share their collections, hobby items, or seasonal exhibits. Anyone interested in filling the display case must set-up and clean-out their materials in a timely manner. The library has the right to approve any material to determine an appropriate exhibit. The Vermillion Public Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day, a legal holiday. Materials may be returned to the book and A/V drops located on the south side of the building. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Starting on Sunday, Sept. 10, the library will return to its school year hours and can accommodate patrons from 1 to 5 p.m.

Fall Story Time begins on Monday, Sept. 25. Registration for Story Time is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. in the Armory/Community Center Building located across from the Vermillion Middle School. For more information please stop by the library or call Joyce Moore, at 677-7060.
