Applicants are invited to develop programming that combines the arts, humanities, and economic development/cultural tourism. This special collaborative grant awards organizations up to $5,000, with proposals being reviewed by members of both the state arts and humanities councils.
This is the second year of the initiative. In 2006, this fund supplemented expenses for the Agri-Cultural Tourism Conference in Chamberlain, the Oz Festival in Aberdeen, the Mountain Culture Festival in Rapid City, a series of gallery talks at Sioux Falls Washington Pavilion and the Oscar Micheaux Film and Book Festival in Gregory.
