The St. James Marketplace in St. James, NE, is pleased to welcome back Yvonne Hollenbeck, quilter and cowgirl poet extraordinaire, from Clearfield.
Hollenbeck has reached national fame with performances of her poetry about farm and ranch life. But when Hollenbeck is not out helping her husband on the ranch or writing poetry, she spends hours making quilts. These creations have also made her a household name among quilting circles.
Five generations of quilting from her great-grandmother down to her will be on display Sunday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m., at the Marketplace. Admission is $10 and following the Hollenbeck's presentation will be Louise Guy's heavenly cheesecake and coffee.
