Retired teachers meet Sept. 13

The Vermillion Southeast Area of Retired Teachers will meet at Cotton Park, South Dakota Street at 11 a.m. Sept. 13 for a picnic and program.

Tom Thaden will make a presentation on early Vermillion. He requests teachers to bring materials pertaining to their teaching experiences in Clay County and the city of Vermillion. These materials will be developed into a book for Vermillion's 150th birthday celebration.

A sack lunch will be served for $6. Retired teachers in the area are encouraged to attend.
