VHS boys’ golf team wins at Beresford

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, the VHS boys' golf team traveled to At the Bridges Golf Course in Beresford for an 18-hole dual with both varsity and JV players.

The Tanagers out-pointed the Watchdogs 308-375. Medalist was Vermillion's Alex Schaack with a 72. Other Tanager scores for varsity individuals were: Aaron Steele (78); Jordan Boots and Broc Gauer (79 each); and Ryan Powell (82).

Beresford's varsity scores were: Justin Nielsen (77); Mike Quail (89); Justin Norling (104); Jonathon Trieber and Brady VanBuskirk (105 each).

JV team winning results: Vermillion – 346; Beresford – 400.

Tanager JV individual scores were: Medalist Eric Ustad (81); Mikal Ustad (84); Cole Andre (90); Gabe Steinmeyer (91); Ryan Scheidel (98); Ryan Angelo (104); and Jimmy Lai (108).
