Sixteen county judging teams participated in the respective State Judging Contest. Three teams and four individuals placed in the Top Ten of their respective contests. Ashley Sorensen placed second in Beginner Visual Arts, Patrick Morrison placed third in Senior Horticulture, Seth Heine placed seventh in Junior Livestock and Andy Jensen placed ninth in Senior Horticulture.
Judging teams placing in the Top Ten were Senior Family & Consumer Sciences placing sixth and Senior Photography placing ninth. Team members on the Senior Family & Consumer Sciences were Emily Holoch, Andy Jensen, Patrick Morrison and Ashley Ouellette. Senior Photography team members were Emily Holoch, Patrick Morrison and Andy Jensen.

Ashley Ouellette participated in the State Fashion Revue contest and received a purple ribbon on her white satin formal.
Erika Fallan received a purple ribbon at the County Special Foods Contest and went on to State Fair where she received another purple on her Strawberry-Banana Soy Smoothie.
Participating in the Public Presentation contests were Andrew Jensen, Taylor Geu, Patrick Morrison and Emily Holoch. Andrew received a blue on his Illustrated Talk about National 4-H Conference. Taylor presented an Illustrated Talk, "Snap!" and received a purple for his efforts. Patrick also gave an Illustrated Talk and received a blue on his presentation, "Global Warming: How YOU Can Make a Difference." Emily's purple ribbon Public Speaking presentation was titled "Cloverbuds Became My Clover Buddies."
