Boys’ golf team suffers loss against Yankton

The Yankton Bucks topped the Tanagers at Hillcrest Country Club in Yankton last Friday, Sept. 1.

Both the Vermillion varsity and JV teams were defeated in the 18-hole dual match.

The Bucks' Jordan Mueller was medalist with a 71.The Tanagers' low man was Alex Schaack at 78.

Yankton's 295 team score was contributed to by: Mueller; Adam Walsh (72); Preston Carda (76); and Marc Gobbels (76).

Vermillion's team score of 320 came from Schaack; Jordan Boots (80); Broc Gauer (81), and Mikal Ustad (81).

The Bucks #1 JV team overpowered the young Tanager JVs 343-378. Vermillion individual scoring was: Eric Ustad (89); Cole Andre (94); Ryan Scheidel (97); Jimmy Lai (98); Ryan Angelo (104); and Gabe Steinmeyer (108).
