City council meets Oct. 2

The Vermillion City Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 in the Al Neuharth Media Center.

The council will hold public hearings on the issuance of a special daily malt beverage license and wine license for the USD Alumni Association on or about Oct. 6, at 1110 North Dakota Street.

It will also hold a hearing on the transfer of a retail on-off sale malt beverage license and retail wine license from Chae's, Inc. to Spanrex, Inc. for Chae's at 8 West Main.

Under new business, aldermen will hear the annual report of the Vermillion Public Library, and consider a request for a Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) Raffle Fund Raiser at the USD Law School.

Council members will also receive the 2005 audited comprehensive annual financial report Monday.
