Colorado-Colorado Springs captured the title with a 316-305-307=928, ten strokes ahead of St. Cloud State. Only one other North Central Conference school besides SCSU finished better than USD, that being Minnesota State's sixth-place effort.
Ryan Bak was the highest Coyote individual finisher by tying for fifth place by carding a 72-75-83=230, which was eight strokes back of medalist Andrew Hedrick of Colorado State-Pueblo. Matt Rantapaa was USD's next-highest performer with an 83-74-86=243 to tie for 34th.
Brett Bennet claimed a tie for 39th by posting an 83-81-82=246, while Brian Cahill was just one stroke back with 82-83-82=247 to tie for 42nd. �Bryan Bye rounded out the South Dakota contingent by taking 55th with his 84-85-83=252.
The Coyotes will return to the course on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 24 and 25, in Grand Forks, ND.
