The Main Gallery in USD's Fine Arts Center is exhibiting a retrospective show of sculpture and drawings by Marty Wanserski called "An Anatomy Lesson: Marty's 40 Years of Trying to Figure Things Out" through Sept. 28 with a reception on Friday, Sept. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The USD Theatre Deptartment will be holding auditions for the hilarious, yet environmental-issue raising Broadway hit Urinetown, The Musical on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Friday, Sept. 15 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. both nights in the Fine Arts building. Auditions are open to the general public and will include both dance and singing components.
Anyone who is interested in auditioning should reserve specific audition times for both the dance and singing components of auditions by signing up on the Theatre Department Callboard, located in the east hallway of Fine Arts. The Coffee Shop Gallery is currently featuring "Green and Growing Things" – fabric art by Merle Eintracht – through Sept. 16.
The Women & Literature Reading Group will be discussing the book Memory Board by Jane Rule on Sept. 20 at 7:15 p.m. in the back-right-hand corner, first floor, of the I.D. Weeks Library on the USD campus. All readers welcome!
