Home visitors attend regional institute

Home visitors from the Head Start Pre-Birth through Five program attended a week long Regional Home Visitor Institute in Rapid City Aug. 28-Sept. 1.

The local Head Start program provides home base services to approximately 90 children and families in Clay, Lincoln, Union and Turner counties.

Home visitors attending the institute included April Heimes, Worthing; Rosemary Suing, Elk Point; Tricia Connors, Jefferson; Sara Nelson, Sioux Falls; Shawna Huls, Monroe; Dawna Andersen, Vermillion; Karen Shade, Davis; and Janet Buseman, Viborg.

Head Start Pre-Birth through Five at The University of South Dakota provides comprehensive child development, health and family support services through home base and center base options to income eligible expectant women and children ages 0-5 and their families.
