The freshmen opened with a 2-0 victory (25-13, 25-18). "The girls played a great match, tonight! We did everything very well together as a team, and hope to continue to play this well, or better," coach Chris Doty said.
Doty recognized the following girls for their performances: Sierra Allen – 8 aces, 5 kills, 1 block, 3 digs; Jenny Bye – 5 aces, 4 kills, 5 digs; Molly LeCates – 5 set assists; and Michelle Blythe – 4 set assists, 2 digs.

In the "B" match, nothing went right in the 0-2 loss (19-25, 17-25).
"The girls played a pretty good match, but once again we made too many mistakes," coach Lori Jerred said. "Our defensive game is getting better."
Jerred chose to recognize the following players in the match: Hannah Korkuska, 14 digs; Alexa Walker – 4 kills; Angie Christensen – 3 kills; Sara Kjose – 9 set assists; and Justine Sorenson – 2 aces.
Head coach Lenni Billberg was disappointed with the varsity's performance. In the match, Alicia Brown registered 15 digs, 13 points on serve, 4 aces, and 7 kills; Kinsey Weydert – 25 set assists, 5 kills, and 5 digs. Arial Hofman contributed 13 digs; and Krista Froke had 7 kills, 2 digs and 1 ace.
