North Dakota State captured the event's title with a 644, with North Dakota taking second with a 649. Gustavus Adolphus edged USD for third-place with its 660, while the Coyotes vaulted past fifth-place Augustana which finished at 665.
Senior Amanda Young (Mitchell) finished the event in fourth-place with a two-day total of 78-81=159, which was six strokes back of medalist Erin Oakland of Southwest Minnesota State. Fellow senior Karrie Plate (Vermillion) was in a tie for 14th by carding an 83-82=165, while junior Amber Luitjens (Aberdeen) carded an 86-80=186 to tie for 17th.

Junior Brooke Bonte (Beresford) completed her two rounds with an 84-88=172, with freshman Candice Bonrud (Burnsville, MN) beginning her collegiate career with an 88-88=176.
Also competing for USD were junior Andrea Petersen (Austin, MN), who shot a 90-91=181, and sophomore Kendra Neugebauer (Parkston), who finished with a 101-105=206.
The Coyotes will be in Lake City, MN, on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17, in their next action when they participate in the Concordia-St. Paul Invitational.
