On Tuesday, Sept. 5, the Vermillion tennis team faced Madison at the USD tennis complex.
"Madison has a good team, and I'm sure that we played competitive tennis Tuesday," said coach Hanson. "Our 'home' meet was a success in spite of the 6-3 loss."
There were eight flights in the varsity singles: Emily Johnson (M) def. Liz Day 6-0, 6-0; Molly Johnson (M) def. Lindsay Morecraft 6-0, 6-1; Laura Niedert (M) def. Dru Daniels 6-4, 6-2; Shannon Skillman (V) def. Carolyn Hunter 6-4, 4-6, 10-6; Katie Beck (M) def. Steph Cowman 6-1, 6-0; and Alicia Hesla (V) def. Caitlin Sullivan 6-1, 6-1; Allison Niedert (M) def.
