Madison High School hosted its Bulldog Invitational golf meet involving 14 Class A and three Class AA varsity teams in an 18-hole competition held at the Madison Country Club on Monday, Sept.11. There were 95 individuals entered in the competition.
The top eight teams scores were: First – Vermillion (320); second – Mitchell (324); third – Milbank (333); fourth – Madison (344); fifth – West Central (345); sixth – Aberdeen Central (350); seventh – Brookings (350); eighth – Harrisburg (352).
Medallist was Alex Schaack of Vermillion, with a 73. The other top five individuals were Eric Heib (Mitchell) – 75; Nick Sipe (Milbank) – 77; Aaron Steele (Vermillion) – 77; and Trevor Freudenthal (Parkston) – 78. Tied at 21st were Vermillion's Jordan Boots and Mikal Ustad (85). Other Tanager members in the top 40 were Broc Gauer (31st) – 88; and Ryan Powell (33rd) – 89.
