Highway patrol plans checkpoints

The South Dakota Highway Patrol will be holding sobriety checkpoints during the month of October in the counties of�Brule, Brookings, Charles Mix, Clay, Davison, Gregory, Lake, Lincoln, Minnehaha and Union.

In addition to detecting alcohol or drug impaired drivers, we make use of the sobriety checkpoints to remind the motoring public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
