Hy-Vee's Service Awards program, now in its 42nd year, recognizes employees for continuous service to the company. At a series of seven banquets held throughout Hy-Vee's seven-state area in October, the company pays tribute to employees reaching service milestones ranging from five to 40 years.
Close to 200 of the honored this year are celebrating anniversaries of 25 years or more with the company. In addition, eight employees who are the first recipients of the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award will be honored.

Employees celebrating service anniversaries receive customized gifts that increase in value as the years of service increase. In addition, their photos are published in a special souvenir book.
Recipients also receive personal congratulations from Hy-Vee Chairman and CEO Ric Jurgens.
"If it were not for our tenured employees – people who show up for work every day with a smile on their face and a knock-your-socks-off attitude toward customer service – Hy-Vee would not enjoy the level of success that it has," Jurgens said.
The seven Service Award recipients from Vermillion will be honored at a banquet held Oct. 9 in Sioux Falls. Those reaching service milestones this year are: Five years: Nancy Hetherington, Mary Gauer, Stacy Wildermuth, Kathy Jackson, Rick Gable, Sue Gable and Brad Campbell.
