The café's roof is leaking and causing interior damage to the building. Because the restaurant is a local gathering place, community members decided to assist owners Diane and John Jr. Otten by raising funds to pay for a new roof. The building housed a general store for many years before it was converted to a restaurant.
Judy Stratman from WNAX radio will be broadcasting live from the café from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the Oct. 21 event. Raffles will be held for donated items that include a large Miller Lite Nascar display mirror. All raffle proceeds will go to the roof fund.
