Reimnitz named PRIDE employee of the month

Maynard Reimnitz, Care Center Nursing, was selected as the Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center (SVVMC) October 2006 PRIDE Employee of the Month. Reimnitz has been employed at Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center since October 2005.

"Maynard has a great attitude and never complains. He picks up extra shifts whenever he's needed and does more than his share of work. The residents trust that he cares about them. Maynard has a calming effect when residents may be agitated and is able to divert them out of depressed moods. He's an excellent geriatric aid and a great team member."

These comments were shared in nominations for Reimnitz.

"Maynard is a responsible and dedicated employee for SVVCC and the residents. He is always pleasant to the residents and staff. He is respectful and conscious with the cares that he provides to the residents. He is definitely a role model for Sioux Valley�s mission statement, 'Dedicated to the work of healing,'" said Crissy Skogsberg, education coordinator, Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center.

Reimnitz is a full-time student at the University of South Dakota in the nursing program and plans to graduate in 2008. Maynard is a native of Stickley.
