Respiratory inhaler check-up clinic

Are you an asthma or COPD patient? Do you use an inhaler to help you breathe better? Are you sure you're using it correctly?

Find out by attending Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center's clinic where Lori Salonen, registered respiratory therapist, will check your technique and give you instructions on proper usage. Inhalers are used by patients to deliver medications to help them breathe better.

According to the American Association for Respiratory Care, if you aren't properly using your inhaler, you may not be getting the proper dose of medicine. "It's like taking half a pill," said Salonen.
